Adidas City Cup Shoes
The White/Core Black/Gum colour way of the Adidas City Cup has been labelled the sneaker designed specifically for the skater from the guys at Adidas. With this in mind, these shoes are coinciding the drop of Adidas’ new short skate film titled ‘One Stop’, which features the technical talent of team rider Miles Silvas combined with the ever-innovative filmography from esteemed videographer Colin Kennedy.
The aim of the Adidas City Cup was to infuse the Three Stripes heritage, with the modernity and engineering that you’d expect from a contemporary skateboarding shoe and they’ve definitely nailed it with the design.
With aesthetics taking inspiration from classics such as the Adidas Montreal and the Adidas Powerphrase, this colour-way is constructed in premium suede, with layered panels providing protection through reinforcement where you need it most out while out skating. The double midsole wrap, designed by Scott Johnston enhances impact cushioning and is finished off with the ever grippy Adidas herringbone tread, which wraps up the sides of the shoe for improved traction, even on the edges.
